Bolstr® launches 'Black Canvas:' Collaborative works with Terry Urban

Emerging contemporary artist Terry Urban collaborates with bolstr on two limited edition Slimmy® OG Wallets.

(July 27, 2021, Cleveland, Ohio) - Today, bolstr launches (available on 10/29) two of the company's flagship Slimmy OG 3-Pocket Wallets bearing original art by emerging contemporary artist Terry Urban as part of its 'Black Canvas' initiative.

"We think art is vitally important to the human experience and would like to share a little through what we do. 'Black Canvas' engages emerging artists on limited edition collaborative works that can be held as collectables or used as desired," said Jay Yoo, founder of Bolstr."

Skull in Peace Slimmy Original 3-Pocket Wallet uses Terry Urban's signature skull with peace symbols as eyeballs. A reminder to seek peace now while we are alive. 

Both collaborative works allow the observer to sit between love and conflict and ask questions around the occurrence of both.

About Terry Urban:

Terry is based in Los Angeles and a painter at his core. He cut his teeth in graffiti art while pursuing a decade-long career as a mixtape DJ. Some of his musical productions include "Unbelievable" (a tribute to The Notorious B.I.G., hosted by P. Diddy), "The Graduate '(hosted by Kanye West) and Viva La Hova, which mashed up Jay-Z and Coldplay. 

After a strong, decade-long run as a DJ, Terry turned back to painting to pursue a new creative calling in contemporary art. His style is influenced by abstract / neo-expressionism that explores the possibilities of his subjects with freedom from representational aspects of art.
