(March 9th 2022, Cleveland, Ohio) - bolstr®, maker of the Slimmy® brand of wallets, announces the availability of its slimmest wallet to date.
“Numerous customers asked for a non-leather option of our Slimmy® wallet but never felt it could live up to the quality of our leather line. That was until we found a manufacturer with a proprietary bonding process that opened the door to a whole new way of looking at it. The T1SO is a surprisingly technical wallet, built to last, and uber thin. We are delighted,” commented Jay Yoo, founder of bolstr®.
Slimmy T1SO employs a proprietary process bonding the Cordura® liner and shell into one, thereby reducing sewn seams for an ever sleek profile (3mm thinness).
The 1-Pocket wallet is folded over the top to create two additional slots for extra durability. With the shell and lining being bonded together there is no need for extra seems to close off the edges allowing he maximum thinness.
“There are no words that express the delight of getting to the core essence of something in the manner. It’s sleek, technical, durable, and functional. There is something extrasensory about this minimalist wallet; once you have it in your hand you do not want to put it down. A colleague explained that he ‘can’t stop messing with it.’ I think that pretty much sums it up the sentiment, ” said Yoo.
T1SO id designed to hold 7 cards, 10 bills, in addition to a few receipts and business card.
“It can hold more but we encourage purging daily to keep the bulk in your front pocket to a minimum. We have been saying this since 2003,” explained Yoo.
About Slimmy®: Slimmy debuted in 2003 as the Slim Wallet Alternative to traditional billfolds and tri-folds. It was the first leather wallet line to offer a slim option only and was a forerunner in what became a minimalist wallet revolution on the late 2000’s. Since then tens of thousands of men and women alike converted to a Slimmy wallet.
bolstr designs minimalist everyday carry bags and accessories for men to carry a smartphone, keys, wallet (credit cards, ID, business cards) and sunglasses, but not much more. The company launched the Small Carry bag as an experiment on Kickstarter as a perfectly sized and minimal everyday carry (EDC) bag for men. The first campaign was 1,777% funded in 30 days and one of Kickstarter's most successful bag projects. Receiving worldwide acclaim, with mentions in popular tech blogs TechCruch and Gigzine, as well as local media, bolstr proved the need for a small carry bag for men. In 2021 bolstr won the prestigious IDA Design Award for fashion/accessory.
